Sonar Sessions is a monthly Sunday evening event, showcasing artists in the genres of world, jazz, soul, acoustic & folk. Each Sonar Session will present a carefully curated lineup of live acts showcasing established artists alongside emerging local talent.Pocket Aces are a dynamic quartet that bring a fresh and irresistible mix of jazz, blues, and soulful pop to the stage. Formed during their Music studies in Manchester, this seasoned band has been crafting their sound and chemistry for over 20 years through a variety of exciting projects. Known for their seamless blend of energy and finesse, Pocket Aces deliver live performances that captivate and charm.
Kinaara are a duo of vocals & electric guitar from Leeds. They play Punjabi folk and Celtic songs presented in Kinaara’s own distinctive arrangements. Begun in 2018 by singer Satnam Galsian with the aim of achieving an identity that reflected both her Punjabi heritage and her UK upbringing. She began working on arrangements with guitar player John Hogg, mixing Indian classical with indie/folk/rock/jazz genres.
Doors open at 6.30pm with the support act starting at 7.30pm and headline act at 8.30pm
