This walk will be chock full of history covering two millennia. We'll head out to Castleshaw to learn about a Roman Fort that was located here, and also visit the spot where a Mustang fighter crashed during World War II. Distance 10 miles (6 hours approx). Some steep climbs and some uneven terrain. This walk will involve some very rough and wet terrain, we recommend sturdy waterproof boots. Route ascends to 450m at Pennine Way. Not suitable for children or dogs.
