Sonar Sessions is a monthly Sunday evening event, showcasing artists in the genres of world, jazz, soul, acoustic & folk. Each Sonar Session will present a carefully curated lineup of live acts showcasing established artists alongside emerging local talent. One of the most exciting new folk duos to come out of the UK, Good Habits’ award winning, genre-fusing sound has received international critical acclaim in the short 3 years they have been performing. Composed of Bonnie Schwarz (cello + vocals) and Pete Shaw (accordion), the pair mix virtuosic musicianship and vocal harmony with vivid storytelling, drawing on their diverse musical tastes and weaving them into an action-packed narrative of folky goodness.
Inspired by the melodies and rhythms of the natural world, Auka perform genre-defying original instrumental music on Irish flute & whistles, acoustic guitar and double bass. September 2023 saw the release of their second album, Wild Waters, a musical portrait of a river which ebbs and flows from moments of delicate calm to those of frenetic energy.
Doors open at 6.30pm with the support act starting at 7.30pm and headline act at 8.30pm
The venue has a fully licensed bar, cabaret style seating and disabled access toilets.
