I'm taking part in SAW Open Studios at The Orchard Gallery.I am an abstract artist and colourist, inspired by the rhythms of everyday life, the changing landscape, and the connections we find within them. Colour is central to my practice, both as a visual language and as a way of expressing emotion and energy.
My paintings are created intuitively, often beginning without a fixed plan. I work through a process of layering, building depth and atmosphere while allowing each mark and wash of colour to inform the next. Water plays an important role in my practice, introducing a sense of movement and fluidity, echoing the unpredictability of nature and the ebb and flow of thought.
Through abstraction, I form my own internal landscapes - spaces that invite the viewer to pause, reflect, and connect with their own sense of place and emotion.
