Somatic Healing is based on the belief that our emotions, thoughts and physical sensations are all deeply connected. In Somatic focused practices, we bring our awareness to how the body processes and expresses trauma and painful experiences,applying mind-body healing to aid with recovery. The goal of this body centered approach is to ease the body out of a prolonged “fight or flight” response, build awareness of the mind-body connection and to be more in tune with our physiological
sensations and how they reflect our emotional state.
This is accomplished by combining grounding and centering practices to help you feel more embodied and connect your proprioceptive awareness to interoception. By leveraging the wisdom of your body, mind, and emotions, Somatic practices aim to
promote healing, self awareness, integration and regulation.
This 4-week journey introduces somatic techniques designed to help you feel more present, embodied, and attuned to yourself. Each week explores a different way of engaging with the body as a pathway to healing as well as time for self-reflection, journaling and group discussion.
