In this special 2 hour somatics offering, we will begin with a 15-20 minute lecture that introduces and explores the anatomy and physiology of the gut brain connection and how that can affect and influence our bodies, our emotions and our ability to regulate our nervous system.We will then spend the remainder of the time exploring somatic techniques and practices to soften the belly to receive the breath, to let go of the holding and tensing, to relax the belly as a call to the heart that it is safe to be alive in our bodies.
Somatic techniques are gentle and perfect for all levels of yoga experience, from the novice to the seasoned practitioner.
