About this Event
Feeling emotionally exhausted, overstimulated, or disconnected from yourself?
Many of us move through life carrying chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, grief, or emotional overwhelm without realizing how deeply it lives inside the nervous system. Over time, the body can become stuck in survival mode — tense, restless, emotionally shut down, or constantly “on.”
This Somatic Sound Bath Therapy experience in Vaughan offers a different approach.
Blending trauma-informed care, therapeutic sound frequencies, nervous system regulation, and somatic healing practices, this immersive group experience is designed to help the body slow down, soften, and begin restoring balance from the inside out.
What Is Somatic Sound Therapy?
Somatic Sound Therapy combines therapeutic sound, mindfulness, and nervous system-based healing approaches to help the body transition out of stress and into restoration.
Using crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, chimes, grounding frequencies, and the human voice, sound vibrations gently guide the brain and body into calmer states associated with healing, creativity, emotional processing, and deep relaxation.
This experience works across multiple levels of the mind-body system:
Sound frequencies can influence areas connected to stress and trauma responses, including the amygdala, brainstem, and vagal pathways. This creates a gentle, non-verbal pathway for emotional release, grounding, and regulation.
Rhythmic sound patterns help the brain synchronize into slower restorative states:
- Alpha waves → calm awareness
- Theta waves → emotional processing & creativity
- Delta waves → deep restoration & repair
As the nervous system settles, many people experience clearer thinking, emotional spaciousness, improved sleep, and reduced mental overwhelm.
Because the body is largely composed of water, sound vibrations travel deeply through tissue and the body’s internal systems. Many people experience this as a sense of emotional release, energetic balance, grounding, or reconnection with themselves.
