HelpingMinds holds Solutions Over Supper workshops as an opportunity to get feedback from our clients and community around their experiences with mental health services, to inform Quality Improvement and support HelpingMinds to advocate on behalf of our community.
About this Event
The Mental Health Commission (Commission) is leading the development of a new Western Australian Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Strategy 2025-2030 (MHAOD Strategy).
The MHAOD Strategy will be the new guiding document for the State, setting the vision for the mental health and alcohol and other drugs systems, services and supports for the next five years.
Covering the entire spectrum of care, from keeping people well in the community, reducing harm and ensuring equitable access to services and support close to home, the MHAOD Strategy will seek to identify priorities for the community, government, non-government and the private sectors across Western Australia.
During this workshop we invite Mental Health Carers to review the MHAOD Discussion Paper (provided on the day or accessed here: https://www.mhc.wa.gov.au/media/5106/mhaod_strategy_discussion_paper_final.pdf
We will discuss what works, identify challenges and offer solutions that will be provided as feedback to the Mental Health Commission.

Participants who have registered and been accepted via confirmation from a HelpingMinds team member will be paid for their participation ($187.50) at the conclusion of the workshop. Morning Tea will also be provided. Please advise of any dietary requirements to our HelpingMinds team member upon acceptance into the event.
