About this Event
This is not your average festival or community gathering. While it carries elements of both, what truly sets this weekend apart is the land itself.
Redricks Lakes is already an amazing event space with a swimming lake, woodland stage, beach stage, and open natural spaces. Yet just a mile down the road lies something even older and more profound - an ancient site that has held human civilisation for over 7,000 years, with more than 5,000 years as active temple land.
This land has been home to a Mesolithic hunter-gatherer encampment, a Celtic temple, and later a Roman temple, before being abandoned around AD 600. The outline of the ruins still stands today and continues to be honoured and respected for the rituals that once took place there.
Over 1,500 artefacts from this site are held in the Harlow Museum, including the remains of the Goddess head of Minerva, known for wisdom, ethics, protection, craftsmanship, and mastery. Although the site is now surrounded by modern industry, it remains protected to continuity through time.
During the solstice itself, we will walk as a pilgrimage from Redricks Lakes to this ancient temple site, meeting the modern world with ancient connection. Together, we will hold ceremony and ritual on the land in honour of the solstice.
The Weekend
Throughout the weekend, we will gather as a village.
There will be music that carries ritual and otherworldly tones, fire and cacao ceremonies, dance, ancestral connection, and yoga including morning sun salutations to honour the solstice sun. Breakfast & Dinner is included in your ticket so we can eat together, as our ancestors once did, in rhythm and community.
You are free to swim in the onsite lake, set up your own camping space and enjoy access to the sauna included in your ticket. We will dance among the trees, play archery, sit by the fire, and return to our roots of connection, joy, freedom, and community.
This is a Alcohol & Drug free event.
