About this Event
Join Us to Honor the Summer Solstice with a
Nahua Solstice Fire Ritual
The Summer Solstice offers a special doorway to connect with and honor the distinct qualities present at this time of year. We have the blessing to honor the solstice and open this doorway in a ritual rooted in the ancient tradition of the Nahuas of central Mexico.
As we approach the solstice, we are going inward, to a place of stillness and quiet, contemplating the balance in our lives. This ceremony is an opportunity to receive guidance and beneficial awareness for the coming months.
Together we’ll honor the deep mystery and the cycles of life
About Our Ceremonial Leader: John Huang
John Huang was initiated as a weather worker in the Nahua tradition of central Mexico in 2019 by Don David Wiley, successor of the late Don Lucio Campos Elizalde. You can learn more about the Nahua Weather Working Lineage of Don Lucio Campos by watching this short documentary film. John travels twice a year to Mexico to participate in the weather ceremonies to help build a reciprocal relationship with the Weather Beings.
All our fires are hosted by Firekeepers Amanda Kerner, Alan Kerner, and John Huang who are trained, initiated, and receive continuing education in the time-honored principles of "Fire Work."
