Solo Aging: Own Your Autonomy

Command your future. Build the legal and financial framework needed to control long-term care and secure your independence.
About this Event

The traditional narrative of aging often assumes a built-in support system of spouse/partner, family and children. For solo agers, this conventional script differs from the logistical and financial realities necessary to get it done on your own. Whether you are solo by choice or by circumstance, navigating the future not only requires health; it calls for a deliberate and resilient strategy.

Moving beyond superficial advice, we’ll examine the critical frameworks necessary to age with dignity and control. We’ll laser focus on the practical mechanics of securing your future, from identifying the right successor trustee to establishing a robust financial power of attorney. This talk provides your roadmap to ensure you remain firmly in the driver’s seat.

Wednesday, May 13, 2026, is SAVvy Day/Solo Aging Visibility Day

Join us on this special, unique day dedicated to Solo Agers to learn how to bypass conventional industry narratives and build a solid foundation for your self-sufficiency.

SAVvy Day is a national initiative created to spotlight the expertise, creativity, and resilience of individuals navigating life’s second half with independence. We are redefining what it means to navigate solo, shifting the focus from what’s uncertain to the intentional lives we are building.

Robin Patin, CFP®, CPWA® is a Wealth Manager based in San Francisco. She is the founder of Your Rich Auntie™, a brand dedicated to stripping the pretense from personal finance and solo aging. She has worked directly with clients as an advisor for over a decade and understands the realities of the modern economy, focusing on solo aging and the logistics of self-reliance.

Beyond her work as an Advisor, Robin frequently speaks on the necessity of securing one’s own autonomy. Currently authoring her first book, "...And May the Last Check Bounce," Robin challenges traditional scripts and advocates for dignified aging. Her mission is to empower individuals to bypass the financial industry's current narratives and build a strong and workable financial framework for solo aging.
