Former Navy LT John Wiebe (I call him Admiral) will again run the first part of the WWI battle of Jutland with his painted miniature battlecruisers that he ran in August using his variation of the classic SPI boardgame CA (heavy cruiser).Chuck Sherrange, HMGS Outreach Coordinator for Greater Pittsburgh, will run the miniatures sailing ship game Fighting Sail by Osprey. Boardgamegeek rates these rules with a complexity of 1.33 of 5 (lower than Risk), so this should really be a game for anyone!
Paul will bring his cardstock ACW Mobile Bay game from the Dawn of Iron miniature rules that he ran in October and a smaller one-on-one USS Kearsarge vs. CSS Alabama (Battle of Cherbourg) with painted miniatures from the same series.
We will also have these naval games from the museum's boardgame library for you to play, peruse, or if you are a museum member check out from Paul for a few months to play at home!
