Once upon a time... TikTok told me to read a book, so I listened. Then, my algorithm started to change and suddenly... I was on BookTok™️. Have you heard of it? 📚 Are you on it too? Cause we are getting through the list of recommendations and we are OBSESSED. So we decided to pair up with our favorite small business bookstore - River Bend Bookshop - to create an event celebrating all things trendy books!This event will involve pottery painting, as well as an Adult Book Fair, hosted by River Bend Bookshop, set up with some popular and up-and-coming titles in the YA/Romance/Fantasy/Fiction genres, BookTok Favs, merch, and more!
River Bend Bookshop currently has two locations (Glastonbury and West Hartford) as well as a traveling book truck, which you'll sometimes find parked right outside at our Market.
Pre-registration is required to reserve your spot—no walk-ins, please!
How it Works:
Check-in begins 10 minutes before the event start time.
Choose and pay for your pottery on the day of the event. Prices range from $18–$65.
We'll provide all paints, tools, and themed stencils to inspire your masterpiece.
No experience necessary—our friendly team will be there to guide you every step of the way.
After painting, your piece will be glazed, kiln-fired, and ready for pickup in 7–10 days. We'll call you when it's ready!
Important Notes:
Register each person in your group to ensure we reserve enough space and supplies.
Let us know in your registration notes if you're coming with friends so we can seat you together!
Groups of 3 or more will be seated at private tables; smaller groups may share community tables.
Outside food and drink are not permitted, but the studio is BYOB-friendly for adults (please bring your own openers, cups, and ice).
