Course Description
Learn what factors contribute to soil health, how it affects your success in the garden, and how you can protect and improve the soil in your home garden, no matter the scale. This class will cover soil testing and nutrients, preserving and improving soil structure, common soil amendments and cover crops.
Presented by Sarah Schweig
Sarah Schweig has been the Broomfield County Extension Director and Horticulture Specialist for CSU Extension since 2018. Sarah holds a MS in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems and a BA in Environmental Studies, and has worked in a wide range of green industry, educational, and research settings. In her current position, Sarah thrives on helping people have success in the garden and conserve natural resources by working with the unique conditions of the Front Range.
