About Mikayla:
Mikayla’s passion for mindful movement comes alive in every class—rooted in core connection, functional alignment, and sustainable movement for her entire community. She first discovered Pilates after spraining both ankles playing softball as a young adult. What began as rehabilitation evolved into a passion that she later returned to in adulthood with renewed purpose and appreciation.
Her credentials include a M.Ed. from American University, B.S. in Education from Towson University, NASM Stretch Coach, ISSA Group Fitness Instructor, and two Mat Pilates certifications. With a foundation built on both education and embodied practice, Mikayla brings a thoughtful, accessible, yet empowering approach to every session.
As the Dohpuhmeen Queen, she has guided hundreds of students, creating spaces where people move in ways that feel supportive, intentional, and mood-boosting. Dohpuhmeen isn’t just about a “feel-good” moment—it’s about cultivating the steady, grounded well-being that dopamine supports: improved mood, focus, clarity, and confidence.
