About this Event
Softer Centres with Bea and Jill
Join neurodivergent Croydon creatives Bea and Jill to create a softer centre in the Wiggle Wonderland pavilion on Sunday 2nd March. We will use fabrics, soft cardboard and papers to explore how to construct a soft, sensory-friendly space for our eyes, ears, and bodies. We will also think about how we could soften Croydon town centre to make it feel kind and more welcoming for autistic and neurodivergent residents, creating a manifesto for a softer future.
Open to autistic under 18s and families only, most suited to age 7-13, formal diagnosis not required.
Booking ahead only

Wiggle Wonderland is a timber-framed pavilion and open-air gallery that displays the works of artists and communities in different locations. From hosting live performances to workshops, each install of the pavilion evolves and is shaped by people and place, with collaboration and co-creation being core to the project. Wiggle Wonderland was founded by architectural designer Beau McCarthy and artist Lucy Grainge. It was launched in 2021, with support from Arts Council England.
