Weave your own linens inspired by the west coast in a one-day workshop series — towels, placemats & napkins. Take one or all three!
About this Event

Spend a day weaving your own coordinated set of cotton linens. In this series of one-day workshops, you'll explore three approachable techniques for weaving functional, beautiful cloth using a neutral palette of soft cotton yarns inspired by the colours of the forests and oceans of the west coast.

Each session focuses on a specific project and structure, allowing you to build a thoughtful collection over time — or simply enjoy a one-off day at the loom. You will be able to weave one or two finished pieces of cloth in each session. The first session is beginner-friendly, and the second and third are best suited for students with prior experience on a rigid heddle loom.

Session 1: January 10 from 10-4

Stripes
A perfect starting point for beginners. You’ll explore simple color striping and rhythm on the rigid heddle loom while weaving soft, absorbent hand towels or table squares in calm neutral tones.

Session 2: January 24 from 10-4

Pattern
For those with some rigid heddle experience. We’ll dive into using two shuttles to create bold patterns — ideal for a pair of unique coasters or rug mats that bring visual texture to your table.

Session 3: January 31 from 10-4

Lace
A more delicate approach for experienced weavers. You’ll learn to weave with pick up stick techniques to create light, airy napkins.

Looms will be pre-warped and ready to go, so you can get right into weaving. Amanda will guide you through design choices, pattern techniques, and finishing methods — helping you create pieces that are both functional and full of personal character.

Pricing & Options

You can sign up for just one workshop or come for the whole series — totally up to you. Here’s how the pricing breaks down:

  • One session – $200
  • Two sessions – $375 (save $25)
  • All three sessions – $550 (save $50)

All sessions include use of a pre-warped loom, beautiful cotton yarns, and everything you’ll need for the day. Just bring your lunch, and I’ll have tea waiting.

Want to get more confident setting up your own loom?

Add on an optional January 3 Loom Setup Basics session for $50 — a relaxed, hands-on two-hour session where I’ll walk you through the process step-by-step.

Please message me or join the waitlist if the pricing or date option you prefer is not available or if you have taken a workshop with me before and want to sign up for one of the advanced sessions. There are 6 spots in each sesssion and multiple registration methods so the one you want may be available but just not listed due to technical limitations with the registration system. I'll get back to you either way as soon as I can.
