The next 10 years will see the biggest change since humanity began, a transformation to dwarf the Industrial Revolution in scale and pace
About this Event

Ideas are taking root and spreading fast. They come neither from governments nor global corporations, but individuals and small groups in communities across the World.

Mike Stevenson will reveal some the big ideas ready to advance humanity’s cause and tackle climate change.

One of the UK’s most persuasive speakers who unerringly attracts rave reviews. Mike’s journey from rough sleeper to multi award-winning entrepreneur is a real tour-de-force and how he turns that learning into life-changing messages makes him a truly compelling speaker.

Mike’s edge comes from his early life. Expelled from school at 15, Mike slept on the streets of London, then racked up 29 jobs before his 26th birthday – his CV includes steelworker, wine bottler, hod-carrier, hospital orderly, biscuit-packer and community worker. He was a pioneer in the early housing association movement in Scotland, founder member of Glasgow’s Wise Group and then of multi-award-winning creative agency, Design Links.

Now he plies his trade as a speaker whose messages touch on many of today’s unique workplace challenges and the wider economic and social backdrop. On creativity, leadership at all levels and communication he has few peers.

Mike has won nine Communicators in Business Awards, three Merrill Lynch awards for Raising the Attainment of Young People and his community investments made him one of only 21 UK company directors to be awarded the inaugural Community Mark. In 2011, he picked up New Start Magazines Better Places Award.

He is a TEDx and Leadercast speaker, author of recently published book: Let’s Re-imagine the World Together, two-times host of Disney Institute Master classes and a presenterat LinkedIn Live’s Global Thought Leaders events.
Come along from 10:45am and grab a coffee before we start at 11am.
