Soft Life Soundbath with Tara Aura

After a warm welcome and a brief Q&A with our local community and Arlo guests, everyone will enjoy an immersive listening experience passively, seated or reclined.

To open the Soft Life Soundbath, ritual artist and sound healer Tara Aura will briefly explain sound science and her intuitive approach to crystal bowls and grounding instruments with African origins. Then she will perform a multi-instrumental, acoustic soundbath to accompany calming breathwork and a guided meditation. Together, we will find harmony, give thanks for the present moment, and set intentions for a softer, brighter future. All genders and teenagers welcome. Light refreshments provided.

About Tara Aura:

Tara Purnell aka Tara Aura is an interdisciplinary ritual artist and meditation guide, yoga teacher and wellness consultant dedicated to collective care and liberation. As a producer, sound healer and ritual artist, she combines her family’s rich legacy in jazz, arts education and community building with over 10,000 hours of mindfulness, musicianship and wellness practices. She was selected to be a 2025 artist-in-residence at The Kennedy Center; and she was awarded with a 2024–2025 fellowship from the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities after a trailblazing tenure as Wellness Director at Eaton Workshop, the progressive hotel, co-working space and cultural institution where she produced over 700 community wellness events. Now in addition to teaching and performing meditation rituals, she produces transformative private experiences and public programs for prominent cultural institutions and universities, mission-driven brands, and faith-based organizations through her agency BLIND SEED, integrating culturally-relevant mental health resources with spiritual tools to inspire collective healing.
