Come travel gently amidst the noise as we welcome the change of season…dreamy wanderings through clouds; soft and expansive…
Like a hug with a friend.
Like coming home.
Five acts from Lutruwita, equally captivating, yet each one weaving their own inimitable magic into their sound. From dreamy, ambient-leaning folk to the depths of new age melancholy, to psychedelic folk to alternative country. Expect to be moved.
Naomi Baltyn:
Leaning into new age melancholy, Naomi combines voice with lush ambient reverbs and piano/synth.
While the emotional depth of her songs is conveyed through lyricism, it’s in Naomi’s hypnotic and glossolalia-like vocals where the feelings are conveyed; inviting quiet contemplation and reflection.
Chamberwoman:
Chamberwoman is a burgeoning singer songwriter living in Nipaluna. Having launched the project in mid 2024, she has since released two singles from an upcoming debut album. Blending musical worlds, the seeds of which sprout from folk and have since grown into psychedelic folk rock.
The swelling synth, classic guitars and deep, aching balladry coalesce in themes of love, death and the end of the world.
For Soft Landings, Chamberwoman will play a stripped back set accompanied by lead guitarist, Cornelius Cooper and keyboardist, James Roberts.
Ally Oliver:
Ally Oliver, draws inspiration from folk legends like Joni Mitchell to modern alternative folk icons like Laura Marling. With a gift for emotive lyrics and storytelling, her "less is more" song writing approach lets her voice take centre stage.
Raspberry Terrapin:
Raspberry Terrapin is a young trio making dreamy, folk-adjacent music that touches on themes of nature, adolescence, time, and love. Their music features intimate three-part harmonies and ambient, warm guitar tones to build full and immersive soundscapes.
Hannah Clare:
Originally from Boorloo/Perth, Hannah Clare is an artist of many colourful and diverse layers.
In 2016 she released her independent debut EP ‘A New Country’ under her previous guise, Brash The Empire.
With a passion for song writing and crafting beautiful vocal melodies, she blends her own original style from her vast musical influences to capture her listener and take them on a soulful journey.
