The band rose to prominence in the mid 2000s, recognized for their emotionally charged lyrics, piano driven arrangements, and melodic instrumentation. Their debut full length album on Drive-Thru Records, Lunch for the Sky (2005), became a standout in the emo-pop scene. The record drew comparisons to artists like The Early November and The New Amsterdams, and was famously described by Alternative Press as Jimmy Eat World overdosed on Meat Loaf. Now, 20 years later, Socratic is reuniting to perform Lunch for the Sky in its entirety celebrating the albums original release.
