About this Event
Join us for Socrates in the Studio on April 11th from 12pm-4pm at the House of the Redeemer, where we’ll be filming two thought-provoking interviews with renowned guests and SITC Host Eric Metaxas.
One ticket grants you access to both talks, filmed back-to-back in an intimate setting—these interviews won’t be live-streamed, offering you a rare chance to be part of an exclusive in-person experience.
At noon, bestselling author Ross Douthat will discuss his latest book, Believe: Why Everyone Should Be Religious, described as “a Mere Christianity for the 21st century” by World Magazine.
Ross Douthat has been a New York Times Opinion columnist since April 2009. Previously, he was a senior editor at the Atlantic. He is the author of The Deep Places; The Decadent Society; To Change the Church; Bad Religion; Privilege; and, with Reihan Salam, Grand New Party. He is the film critic for National Review. He lives with his wife and five children in New Haven, Connecticut. His latest book, Believe, released nationwide February 11, 2025 and was an instant New York Times bestseller.
Then, Dr. William Hurlbut will discuss “The Boundaries of Humanity: Humans, Animals, and Machines in the Age of Technology.”
William B. Hurlbut, M.D. is a Senior Research Scholar in the Dept. of Neurology and Neurological Sciences and an Adjunct Professor in the Dept. of Neurobiology at Stanford University Medical Center.
