Social: Waypoint Crew X Le Watermelon: Cold Swim + 6km Mini Hike + Pub

We’re so excited for this one....Waypoint Crew is teaming up with , London’s most fun, friendly, and social swim club that’s all about bringing people together, one icy dip (+ all kinds of side quests) at a time.

Get ready for an Autumn social adventure that’s equal parts refreshing, scenic, and social. We’ll kick things off with a cold-water dip/swim at Hackney’s hidden gem - the West Reservoir (Not included in ticket, you'll need to book with West Res - see details below). It’s beautiful, peaceful, and yes... it’s going to be COLD! 🥶

After your dip, we’ll grab a hot takeaway coffee from the café and set off on a 6km mini hike along the iconic Parkland Walk - a leafy, urban trail linking Hackney to Highgate. We’ll finish at , where we’ve got a space reserved for a big post-adventure pub social with both communities coming together for well-earned drinks and good vibes.

• Date: Saturday 15th November 2025
• Meet: 10:45am at West Reservoir Water Sports Centre, Green Lanes, Woodberry Down, London N4 2HA
• Cold Swim: Book the 11:00–11:50am slot (or 11:10–12:00 / 11:20–12:10 if full)
  ➡️ Book your swim here (£13 for non-members): Better West Reservoir Centre. Bookings open Monday 10th Nov @ 6pm — we’ll remind you!
• ‼️ Please bring a red, pink, or orange swim cap/hat (required for the swim) and warm layers to bundle up afterwards.
• ‼️ NOTE: This is a social , not a guided session. The West Reservoir has trained lifeguards on site, and all swim bookings and payments are made directly through them. Waypoint Crew and Le Watermelon are simply coordinating which time slots to join - we’re not responsible for your swim at the West Reservoir. If you’re new to swimming there, you’ll need to complete a short safety induction before getting in the water.

• Start: Leaving the reservoir at 12:15pm to beging the mini hike
• Route: Parkland Walk to The Woodman, Highgate
• Distance: 6km
• Time: ~1 hour
• Grade: Easy, sociable pace
• Route Type: Point-to-point

We’ll finish up at The Woodman in Highgate for a big post-adventure hangout - drinks, laughs, and all the good vibes. We’ve got a spot booked until 5:30pm, so stick around and make it a proper Saturday social!
