Join us for this unique opportunity to learn from Team Social Stories. Representing four professional backgrounds and 80 years of Social Story experience, Carol, Siobhan, Catherine, and Aaron will present the most collaborative, in-depth, and comprehensive Social Story training to date.
Developed by Carol Gray, Social Stories™ are a popular evidence-based strategy used worldwide to support autistic people and others with social communication differences. Grounded in the concept of Social Humility, Social Stories are a powerful tool that shares information about an otherwise confounding aspect of the social world in a safe, supportive, respectful, and positive way. Today the approach includes an increased emphasis on shared learning, with gathering information pre-requisite to the discovery of a Story topic or an alternate solution.
This unprecedented webinar is facilitated by Team Social Stories, the developers of Social Stories 10.4:
- Carol Gray (Michigan) educational consultant and founder of Social Stories
- Dr. Siobhan Timmins (England) a physician, trainer, and parent of an autistic son
- Catherine Faherty (North Carolina) former TEACCH®️ teacher, trainer, consultant
- Aaron Lanou (New York City) an inclusive education coach and presenter
For the last several years, the Team has continued to develop and refine Social Stories and the training for educators, therapists, and families.
Recently updated for greater clarity, this Social Stories 10.4 webinar includes:
- Social Humiliity, the philosophy and foundation of Social Stories;
- How to avoid the most frequent Social Story errors;
- Researching and writing a genuine Social Story; and
- When NOT to write a Social Story.
Empower yourself with the only educational strategy that’s designed to teach the parents and professionals as much as those in their care.
