Come join our open studio for a low-pressure sketchbook night amongst friends! Similar to our Creative Recharge Nights as a community gathering, this is a space to unwind, experiment, and fill your pages alongside others. No experience needed — just bring your own sketchbook and your willingness to show up for your creativity. Bloomery is happy to provide a wide variety of supplies to inspire you!
Each session includes gentle prompts to get you sketching, with technique tips from Ren, communal tables for conversation, and the option to sketch independently. Either way, when we sit together and draw, we naturally mirror one another’s focus. That shared energy can lead to loosening up and trying new things as we move past the feelings of being stuck. Art and conversation can flow naturally with others when we're relaxed and aligned!
What’s included:

✔️ Simple, inspiring creative challenges to spark your imagination — anyone can do it, no pressure!
✔️ Access to some classroom creative tools and supplies to try out
✔️ Great conversation with fellow creatives — be ready to make friends!
✔️ BYOB (bring your own beverages encouraged), we have plates, glasses, and a corkscrew if needed
Whether you're an artist, hobbyist, or just want to stay accountable and inspired, this is your time to make space for imperfect experimentation and play in your process!

This event is geared towards adult learners, but teens 13+ are welcome to join a parent or guardian.

Lauren Beck is the artist behind Bloomery Art Co. and Ren & Ink LLC, and she has longed to host relaxing art meetups like this one — honestly just to laugh and create with friends, old and new.
