The board of the national Cycle Action Network is meeting in our own New Plymouth on the 20/21st September. It would be nice to show them our New Plymouth in a social ride on the 20th September starting at 2pm (assemble at 1.45pm). The plan is to ride all the way up the recently finished Cycle Way on Devon Street West, then down Pioneer Road and back to Puke Ariki via the Coastal Walkway (about 10km) at a sedate pace. Everyone is welcome, but make sure any younger cyclists can handle the distance and hills. It is a social ride and normal traffic rules apply (no traffic management in place). Afterwards we will socialise at the Good Home when the CAN board members will be available to share their insights on cycling in NZ. More details to follow, but keep that afternoon free! Let's show there are quite a few cycling enthusiasts in this lovely town of ours. PS the Bike Kitchen will be open until 1.30pm that day to help with any niggly issues on your bike
