About this Event
Want to go see a movie at a theater Friday, March 20, but don't see anything you're interested in checking out? Especially if it's a comedy? Come on down down to the Eastwood Performing Arts Center, home of our friends at the Great Film Club, to check out a SPECIAL short film presentation of my very own comedyshort film 'Twitter X: the Movie!'
Inspired by the legendary works of YouTuber David Lehre ('myspace: the movie', 'iphone: the movie', and 'facebook: the movie') and other social media YouTube satires ('youtube: the movie', and 'Instagram That S**t!'), this spoof of the website Twitter/X chronicles 5 celebrity obsessed friends who just sit around and tweet all day, trying to come up with a tweet to compete in the 48-Hour Best Tweet EVAR Contest!
My name is Cullen Severance. I'm a Montana born-n-raised LA transplant and award-winning comedy filmmaker/writer/actor on the Autism/ADHD spectrum, and this is a 20-minute comedy project I decided to take on 2 years ago all on my own with local actors, and no studio or agency help after moving to Los Angeles as an attempt to take a giant leap in my comedy filmmaking skills while on an extremely narrow budget (and patience) and gain clout and notoriety after Twitter turned into X.
How we lampooned this social media giant Naked Gun-style? You'll have to come see for yourself!
Doors open 7:30 PM at the Eastwood Center at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Oxford Ave in Hollywood! Screening Starts at 8 PM! Concession snacks and drinks will be provided! Feel free to stick around after the screening for a 1-hour mix/mingle/networking where you can chat with the filmmakers and cast, and maybe make new friends! The entire event ends at 9:30 PM.
Book your seat TODAY or at the door 30 minutes before doors close for screening via DONATIONS! You can donate as little as you want or as crazy generous as you want! Whatever will support the filmmakers of this movie!
Invite yourself, friends AND family to join us in this radical send up of social media madness! Anybody
