The Committee to Honor César E. Chávez proudly announces the celebration of its 25th anniversary with a special edition of its Social Justice Activities on Thursday, March 13, 2025. This year’s theme, “Unity in the Community: Committee to Honor César E. Chávez 25th Anniversary,” commemorates both César E. Chávez’s 98th birthday and the ongoing mission for justice, dignity, and equality.
We are honored to welcome the participation of diverse communities, including African American, Asian American, European American, Hispanic American, and Native American. This collaborative celebration highlights the meaningful connections between César's transformative legacy and the enduring strength of these resilient heritages.

Social Justice March
Begin the day with a powerful march staging at the Hispanic Center to Potter’s House Chapel, celebrating César E. Chávez’s legacy through drumming by the Native Americans, ceremonial practices, and a program that highlights the significance of this 25th anniversary milestone.
Community Gathering
Join us at Potter’s House Chapel for an inspiring celebration featuring music, dance, poetry, and the lighting of the "Unity Candle." These gathering honors the strength of diverse heritages and the transformative impact of César’s mission for unity and justice.

Unity Luncheon
Share a meal with the community while enjoying live music by Son de Mexico Mariachi Band, Door prizes, and lots more! Join us in cutting the cake to celebrate César Chávez’s 98th birthday and make this milestone celebration truly special. The luncheon offers an opportunity to connect with others and celebrate the collaborative spirit of César’s enduring legacy.
