About this Event

Conference Overview

The Social Inclusion Forum is an annual national event hosted by the Department of Social Protection, in partnership with the European Anti-Poverty Network and Community Work Ireland. It provides people affected by poverty and social exclusion, as well as the community organisations representing them, the opportunity to meet with the Minister for Social Protection as well as with officials from relevant government departments to discuss poverty and social inclusion policy and related issues of common concern. It also facilitates discussion about the implementation of the Roadmap for Social Inclusion, the national strategy for poverty reduction and improved social inclusion.

The 2026 Social Inclusion Forum is being held on Wednesday 27th May in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin 4. Those who are unable to attend in person can join the event online.

The new Roadmap for Social Inclusion emerges at a moment of considerable transition, and this year’s theme, “Advancing Action on Poverty and Social Exclusion", is very much centred around shaping an ambitious, responsive, and inclusive national approach. It reflects the need to build on what we have learned in recent years while ensuring that future policies are resilient, forward‑looking, and grounded in the lived experiences of those most affected by poverty and social exclusion. The Social Inclusion Forum offers an important moment to reflect on what has been achieved and to shape the future direction of national social policies.

Full programme to be announced, registration opens at 8.30am - 9am, Forum commences at 9am until 4pm.
