Social Bias Hackathon (Science Fair)

We spent all summer working on our bias detection research paper. We're launching it alongside it's open source project at our social bias hackathon + science fair!!

We’re hosting a Social Bias Hackathon from September 27-29, 2024 at Galvanize Phoenix! This event is crafted for developers, business minds, and founders who are on the lookout for jobs, partnerships, investments, and, most importantly, the pure joy of building ideas from scratch!
Social Bias Science Fair:

Instead of the typical pitch competition or online submission hackathon, we're asking teams to present their Social Bias Hackathon projects in a science fair style.

This is a public event open for anyone who wants to see what everyone builds!! Voting will open and you'll get badge for attending the science fair.

It'll also be a great chance to meet devs, learn more about our bias detection research project, and get involved with our non-profit research group :).

The winners will be chosen based on their performance at our science fair-style booth showcase, so get ready to flex your creativity and show off what you’ve built!

We’re thrilled to partner with Freeway and Startup World Cup to co-host the Tech Talent Summit, featuring an incredible pitch competition on Friday. Winners from this competition will move on to the Startup World Cup in the Bay with a shot at winning a $1 million non-diluted fund! After that, it’s game on with our 48-hour, non-stop Social Bias Hackathon—a true test of your ability to build and innovate under pressure.
