ICE DANCE INTERNATIONAL LAUNCHES NATIONAL THEATRICAL TOUR AS ENTHUSIASM FOR ICE SKATING SOARS AND RETURNS TO SNOOPYS HOME ICE!Legends and elites come together to inspire and ignite the passion for figure skating.
Ice Dance International (IDI) announces SOAR!, its national tour coming to 14 cities across the United States in early 2025. Featuring world-class figure skaters and work by renowned choreographers, SOAR! is a theatrical journey of artistry and athleticism that showcases the magic of skating through mesmerizing ensemble performances.
IDI’s 2025 tour is led by two-time U.S. Champion Alissa Czisny; Rohene Ward, Puerto Rican National Champion and choreographer for World Champion Kaori Sakamoto and U.S. Champion Jason Brown; and U.S. Open Champions Kseniya Ponomaryova and Collin Brubaker.
SOAR! showcases repertory by world-renowned choreographers Benoît Richaud, Cindy Stuart, Garrett Smith, Rohene Ward, and IDI’s Artistic Director Douglas Webster.
“SOAR! is an uplifting and entrancing show,” says Webster. “Prepare to be immersed in the experience as our cast of 10 takes you on an expressive journey through the flight and flow of theatrical ensemble skating. The show continues to build a bridge from sport to art and pushes the boundaries of dance on ice.”
The last appearance by Ice Dance international at Snoopy’s Home Ice was during their inaugural tour in October 2016. Now, founding IDI company member, Kim Navarro runs the skating school and can’t wait to bring the IDI company back on Friday March 21. Navarro, along with fellow founding company members Erin Reed and Carly Donowick will perform in honor of IDI’s tenth anniversary.
