About this Event

🎬 So You Decided to Act is back bigger and better on January 31, 2026 with expanded programming, special guests, and fresh opportunities for actors.

Welcome to So You’ve Decided to Act… Now What?! — A 1-Day Acting Intensive.

This immersive, real-world simulation experience challenges actors to adapt, align, and perform at a professional level. Guided by actress, author & coach Nikki Hoard with special celebrity guest Alimi Ballard (Queen of the South, Law & Order, NCIS, Queen Sugar, Fast Five, Sabrina The Teenage Witch), participants will experience a live “performance lab” that mirrors the pace, unpredictability, and precision of working in today’s film and television industry.

Perfect for emerging and working actors ready to elevate their craft, confidence, and on-camera presence — all in one transformative day at the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville.

🎭 What You’ll Experience
  • Live performance simulation: Receive your scene 48 hours before the event and walk in ready to work — just like a professional actor.
  • On-camera training: Learn how to master wide shots, close-ups, and dynamic blocking adjustments with confidence.
  • Scene rewrites in real time: Adapt to last-minute script changes and direction — discover how professionals stay grounded and flexible on set.
  • Mindset & Alignment Coaching: Explore emotional resilience, clarity, and presence with Nikki’s signature approach to acting from the inside out.
  • Industry Q&A: Get career insights directly from Alimi Ballard on building longevity, consistency, and authentic success in film and television.

🎟 Limited to 50 seats. Early registration is encouraged — once capacity is reached, additional spots cannot be added.
