To provide Secondary Students (7th – 12th) the opportunity to get away from their routines and technology and have a time of spiritual solitude and renewal. Sno-Blast is not just a cutie name; it foreshadows what to expect. We’ll spend part of our retreat visiting a snow park and have a blast exploring the Sierra Adventure Center in Big Pine, where there will be lodging for the rest of our time. All students will be assigned to a cabin, and each cabin will have a pair of same-gender adults who will be their Cabin leaders. Various indoor and outdoor group activities will be offered during guided free periods, and the adult chaperones will oversee all activities. The retreat’s spiritual theme will be discussed and unpacked during multiple group sessions during the weekend. Each session will be followed by small group discussion times led by adult chaperones.
