Join us for a “fireside chat” about navigating the realities of Snapchat for tweens and teens.Whether you’re familiar with the Snapchat app or not, it’s important to be aware of the potential impact it could have on the kids in your life - and the dangers are not always what you think they are.
Kids will tell you they love Snapchat for the filters and the fun - which is absolutely true. It's what happens beyond those fun and positive experiences that we need to be aware of, which is difficult when it all happens out of sight.
At this "SnapWhat" session you will hear from a mother and daughter duo and their perspectives on the app . You can throw a question into the mix to keep the coversation going, or just sit back, listen and learn from the lived experiences of others.
Our "Commonality" sessions are about sharing experiences and navigating challenges together as a collective. We are an inclusive and non-judgemental space - everyone is welcome. Our only expectation is that everyone who attends the session shows respect and support to the other people in the room.
