Snail's Pace: Visible Mending

This is part of our Snail's Pace event series: a chance to slow down and try something new.

Join us for an evening of visible mending - the subtle and beautiful art of make do and mend with Sabrina Simon.

This class in visible mending will explore simple techniques to upgrade your favorite well-worn clothing, try out thrifted possibilities, and fix those tiny snags and nicks in shirts and sweaters. Homemade patches, hand darning with embroidery thread, as well as the Japanese art of Sashiko will all be sampled.

Tickets are $20. All materials will be provided, and students will leave with samples, the tools to continue with some projects at home, and the courage to fix clothes, artfully—truly making them their own!
