This month, SMS Teen is bringing summer vibes with a SLIP N SPLASH night!
Teens ages 12–17 are invited to join us for a fun, high-energy evening filled with water games, music, food, treats, and time to just hang out and enjoy summer together in a positive environment.
This month, teens will:
- Enjoy water games and splash activities
- Listen to music, hang out, and enjoy summer fun together
- Enjoy food, treats, and good vibes all night
What to bring:
- A towel
- A change of clothes
- Your friends!
What you can feel good about:
- A variety of dinner options
- Adult staff on-site throughout the event
- A night "off"!

About SMS Teen
SMS Teen is a monthly program created by Single Mom Strong with one group in mind: your teens.
As our children grow, their needs shift. They’re navigating more independence, more pressure, and more questions about who they are and where they’re headed. We’ve heard from many of you that there aren’t enough safe spaces where teens can show up, feel comfortable, and connect in a positive environment. That’s why we launched SMS Teen.
This isn’t a night of lecturing or something that feels like an after-school program. It’s a practical, welcoming space where teens can connect, relax, and be themselves.
Teens will have the opportunity to:
- Connect with peers who understand their experiences, or reconnect with friends they know through Single Mom Strong or EmpowerME
- Relax and have fun in a safe, structured environment
- Build confidence and a sense of belonging
- Share their voice and help shape what comes next
NOTE: This program is presented in partnership with the City of Sacramento, #SactownYouthNights. While created by Single Mom Strong, youth of all family types between age 12 and 17 are welcome. This must be completed by a parent or guardian before the event.
SMS Teen is a monthly opportunity, with rideshare and carpool options planned for future events. Most importantly, your teen will be in a space designed with intention, where they are seen, respected, and part of a growing community.
This is just the beginning. SMS Teen will continue to grow with input from the teens themselves, so it reflects what they actually need and want.
