About this Event
Autodesk's Fusion 360 is a fantastic way to get started with Computer Aided Design (CAD). Built from the ground up using modern design principles it contains the functionality to build nearly anything you can imagine.
In this workshop session we will be adding to your prismatic CAD modelling skills by adding smooth surface manipulation. This is perfect for artists, product designers, aerospace, and automotive engineers.
Who can attend this session? This session is open to staff and students at the University of Salford only.
You are required to have a working University of Salford computer login, and to speed things up on the day you should already have a Fusion 360 account. Use your Univeristy email address to gain access to the powerful education licence.

It's recommended that you have some experience using Fusion 360 before you come to this session to ensure you get the most out of this session. You can either come to one of our "getting started" sessions or follow along with a short introductory series of videos.
What about COVID?COVID hasn't gone anywhere.
To protect the health of our staff and other visitors you are asked to wear a face covering when moving around the Maker Space. You may remove it when you are seated at a computer or workstation. Persons exempt from wearing a face covering may want to consider picking up a badge or lanyard from their School reception.
Our CAD Suite has large acrylic screens between computers and you will be well spaced from the person next to you. Keyboards and mice are "quarantined" between users.
Where is the Maker Space? We've moved to the Newton Building on the main University of Salford campus. Enter through the building's main entrance and head down the steps to basement rooms.
Can't make these time slots?Don't worry, we can try and work out some other time for you. Send us an email - [email protected] - and let us know when's good for you.
