This week, the SMJC welcomes two musicians who are among the most exciting jazz musicians in the UK today. James Owston and Alex Western-King are regular performers at the country's best venues and, in addition to leading their own groups, are often seen in some of the most exciting bands on the circuit today. Alongside resident drummer Ted Carrasco, This group of musicians will explore the realm of the famed "chordless trio" format that has been embraced by the likes of Sonny Rollins, Joe Henderson, Branford Marsalis and many many more. Don't miss this special night of music and improvisation.
