Join SME Chapter 57 for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of a local Amazon Fulfillment Center. This is a unique opportunity to see advanced manufacturing, automation, logistics, robotics, and high-volume fulfillment operations in action inside one of the world’s most sophisticated supply chain environments.
During the tour, attendees will gain insight into how Amazon leverages technology, process flow, material handling systems, and operational strategy to manage large-scale fulfillment with speed, accuracy, and efficiency. The experience will include guided discussion around facility operations, automation integration, workforce coordination, and continuous improvement practices.
Tour Duration: Approximately 60–90 minutes
Visitor Requirements & Dress Code
To ensure the safety, comfort, and security of all guests, attendees must comply with the following requirements while participating in the tour:
- Flat, closed-toed and closed-heeled shoes are required
(No sandals, clogs, Crocs, or high heels) - Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers are strongly recommended
- Visitor badges and Amazon-issued breakaway lanyards must be worn at all times
- Long hair must be tied back at or above shoulder length
- Loose-fitting clothing and accessories, including long jewelry, scarves, or ties, are not permitted
- Religious attire and head coverings are permitted provided they do not create a safety hazard and are securely tucked in when necessary
- Offensive or revealing clothing is prohibited
Please note that the fulfillment center is an active industrial environment with moving equipment, shelving systems, and uneven walking surfaces. Guests who do not meet the dress code or safety requirements will not be permitted to participate in the tour.
Identification Requirements
All adult guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID upon arrival. The information submitted during registration must match the identification provided at check-in.
Guests under the age of 18 are not required to provide identification.
Permitted & Restricted Items
Guests may bring:
- Wallet
- Keys
- Transparent water bottle
Please leave bags and backpacks at home or secured in your vehicle unless medically necessary. If needed, Amazon staff can provide a secure location to store personal items during the tour.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted, with the exception of clear water bottles.
