A smart town is a town where decision makers and business owners utilise information, or 'data' from different sources, such as sensors or Wi-Fi, to make more efficient and smarter decisions. This data can be used to boost business sales, regenerate high streets and promote sustainably.

Introducing Smart Towns Wales - a Welsh Government funded project, now in its third year, aimed at championing the advantages of smart technology, supporting communities and driving progress across Wales.

With various projects and initiatives happening across Wales, we've created a space to encourage discussions and collaboration —the Smart Towns Wales quarterly networking group.

This event is an informal space for stakeholders to discuss the latest developments in their areas, celebrate successes and discuss obstacles. We’ll bring in special guest speakers to share their knowledge and expertise. Our mission is clear—to share knowledge, raise awareness, and encourage best practices across Wales.

Mae tref smart yn dref lle mae'r rhai sy'n gwneud penderfyniadau a pherchnogion busnes yn defnyddio gwybodaeth, neu 'ddata' o wahanol ffynonellau, megis synwyryddion neu Wi-Fi, i wneud penderfyniadau mwy effeithlon a doethach. Gellir defnyddio’r data hwn i hybu gwerthiant busnes, adfywio strydoedd mawr a hyrwyddo cynaliadwyedd.

Dyma Trefi Smart Cymru – prosiect a ariennir gan Lywodraeth Cymru, sydd bellach yn ei drydedd flwyddyn, gyda’r nod o hyrwyddo manteision technoleg smart, cefnogi cymunedau a llywio cynnydd ledled Cymru.

Gyda phrosiectau a mentrau amrywiol yn digwydd ledled Cymru, rydym wedi creu gofod i annog trafodaethau a chydweithio—grŵp rhwydweithio chwarterol Trefi Smart Cymru.

Mae'r digwyddiad hwn yn ofod anffurfiol i randdeiliaid drafod y datblygiadau diweddaraf yn eu hardaloedd, dathlu llwyddiannau a thrafod rhwystrau. Byddwn yn dod â siaradwyr gwadd arbennig i mewn i rannu eu gwybodaeth a'u harbenigedd. Mae ein cenhadaeth yn glir—rhannu gwybodaeth, codi ymwybyddiaeth, ac annog arferion gorau ledled Cymru.
