Midterm elections are approaching, and campaigning is already underway.
Join WDET News Director Jerome Vaughn for the first Smart Politics event of 2026 on Tuesday, May 5, at Mario’s Italian Restaurant in Midtown Detroit. Vaughn will moderate a panel discussion with Zach Gorchow of Gongwer News Service and Dave Dulio, political science professor at Oakland University. Audience questions will be part of the conversation.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and guests are welcome to dine during the program. Seating is first come, first served.
Doors open at 6 p.m. The program begins at 7 p.m.
