Join us for a free in-person financial literacy workshop designed to help working adults and families make informed, confident decisions about their financial future. This session explores how common tools like bank accounts, 401(k)s, and 529 plans compare with other strategies that emphasize safety, flexibility, accessibility, and family protection.
Participants will learn how to grow savings safely while minimizing risk; access money for emergencies, education, or retirement; compare traditional tools with more flexible options; build long-term financial stability and generational security; and plan for children’s education without unnecessary restrictions. This workshop is educational, practical, and designed to provide clarity.
We would appreciate your registration on the library's website.
Facilitators:
University Professors & Licensed Financial Professionals Dr. Yvonne-Marie Mokam and Dr. Belinda Azenui.
Library Parking & Entrance Information:
While the library's main entrance is under construction, we remain open. Clear signage will guide visitors to a temporary, fully accessible entrance via a ramp in the southeast alley, leading to the dock entrance.
The library parking lot also remains open, with temporary entry and exit available only via Euclaire Avenue. Parking may be limited, so we encourage you to arrive early and use street parking on Euclaire, Mound, and other nearby streets.
