*Summary *
The play revolves around an insurance fraud and a cat-and-mouse chase with law enforcement.
Amar Desai dies in a train accident, making his wife Aarti Desai the beneficiary of a hefty insurance payout of ₹5 crores. Soon after Aarti receives the money, Amar is revealed to be alive — the couple had conspired together to cheat the insurance company.
While Amar and Aarti celebrate their success, CBI officer Vikram Inamdar enters the plot. What follows is a thrilling game of hide-and-seek as the baffled officer tries to crack “Case No. 99”.
The central question of the play: Will CBI officer Vikram Inamdar solve the mystery, or will Amar and Aarti succeed in conning the honest officer? The story builds toward an absolutely unexpected climax.
