Join us on August 1, 2026 as we visit our third small town in our Small Town Downtown Discovery Series.This month, we take the T+T van to Historic Abingdon, VA. We will begin our day at the Abingdon Visitor Center housed in the Fields Penn 1860 Museum to learn more about the history of Abingdon.
Our Lunch spot: The Girl & The Raven Restaurant for lunch and conversation. After lunch- it is free play- choose to ride with me to the William King Museum or explore the numerous shops in the Historic district.
We will all meet back at the Visitor’s Center to board the T+T van for home arriving Roanoke around 4:30PM.
PRICE PER PERSON: $34.00 pp. The full amount is due when the reservation is made.
PRICE INCLUDES: Roundtrip parks and recreation transit van transportation, and a tour host. Lunch is at your own expense.
DEPARTURE TIME AND LOCATIONS: The van will depart at 10:30AM City of Roanoke Public Works Bldg. 1802 Courtland Rd, NE. Return time to Roanoke is around 4:30PM.

Cancellation Policy: This trip requires a minimum number of paid participants by the registration deadline. If the trip is canceled due to low enrollment, all participants will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made after the registration deadline will result in a 50% cancellation fee.
