Set in the lead-up to Christmas in 1985, coal merchant Bill Furlong is a witness to unsettling secrets kept by the local convent. Disturbed by what he has seen and unfurling memories from his childhood, Bill must decide what to do in a society where only complicit silence will keep you safe.
