Young visitors will explore what life was like for enslaved children living on rice plantations during the antibellum era. Through hands-on activities and games inspired by the past, participants will learn about the daily chores, skills and forms of play experienced by enslaved children in coastal Georgia.The program will encourage children to think family, community, creativity, and resilience while gaining an understanding of the lives of young people who lived and worked the rice fields generations ago.
*Junior Ranger Program*- children will recieve JR. Ranger Book and JR. Ranger badge at end of program.
**Please bring reusable water bottle and a bagged lunch- we will be having lunch at 12:00PM.**
