Cost: $35/drop-in or $150/6 classes

Through 'hands-on work' * as well as verbal guidance, the Alexander teacher leads the student to become more aware of and to change habits of tension and misuse. The educational process of the Alexander Technique trains your kinesthetic coordination and enables you to begin to free patterns of tension to access your underlying support.
Experience more effortless and efficient movement to support your daily activities (ie. walking, computer work, chores etc.) and/or performance (music, dance, acting, etc.).

Alexander Technique Teacher:
Suzanne Liska is a Certified Alexander Technique Teacher and a Teaching member of ATI (Alexander Technique International) with an MFA in Choreography. She specializes in: somatics, dance kinesiology, developmental movement patterns; dance theatre, physically dynamic partnering, with a specialization in dance improvisation; Taiko; and Butoh. Suzanne has received grants and awards through Canada Council for the Arts, Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council, York University and SSHRC; and is contract faculty for York University’s Dance Department and George Brown College’s Theatre School.
