The Small Dog Social Walk is on the first Sunday of the month, meeting at 2:30pm during autumn and winter. The meetup will gather for free play from 2:30pm in the back half McEwan Park at Hikoikoi Reserve, Petone Beach, with the walk along the beach and back starting around 3:00pm. After the walk, feel free to hang around and let the dogs play some more.
Water bowl and poo bag bin provided!
Closest street address for GPS is 38 Marine Parade, Petone - we meet in the field across the road! There is plenty of parking along this street.
April - September - Winter time of 2:30 - 3:30
October - March - Summer time of 3:30 - 4:30
Time changes with Daylight Saving Time.
PLEASE DO NOT GATHER ON THE FRONT FIELD
On arrival, please come straight to the back field. We have had a few dogs running over to the car park in excitement to see their friends, with cars driving around we need to be very careful to keep the pooches safe at all times. If your pooch is not good off lead, please keep it on until everyone has arrived and (if you feel comfortable) then let them off.
This is open to the public, and we welcome anyone who has not been before who would like to join our amazing group of pooches and owners!
We also encourage puppies; this is the perfect place for them to socialise safely.
This group is purely a social group with no formal club functions or responsibilities. The park is also used for Disc Golf, so please watch out for people playing thru.
Anti-social small dogs are welcome. If a muzzle is needed, please ensure that they wear it.
PLEASE NOTE- Your dogs are your responsibility at all times, this includes supervising their behaviour and picking up their poop!
