Oh dear, we're doing it again…The last Sunday in April… we invite you to join us for what will probably amount to sheer stupidity.
We're going to meet at Christchurch Adventure Park, ride around to Crocodile XC Park, up The Crocodile, then up Kennedys Bush to Summit Road.
We'll then ride *EVERYTHING* east-bound until we run out of hills (so, Flying Nun, Bowenvale Traverse, Mt Vernon, Witch Hill, Castle Rock, Greenwood, Godley Head, and Anaconda before riding back up Taylors Escape and then Captain Thomas)… Oh, and then we'll have to ride around the road back to the Christchurch Adventure Park.
We have a water stop at Sign of the Kiwi, but from there, the next water stop is at Greenwood, and then Taylor's Mistake.
Oh, did I mention that we're climbing Rapaki and dropping down Vic Park and Gung Ho on the way back?
You'll also need to bring food. Lots of food… Unless you are truly Stoic.
This ride incorporates all SlowRiders, XC, Trail, All Mountain, and Stoic. Ride as little or as much as you like!
"Survival" refers to the likelihood that we'll have people (including ourselves) drop out along the way. This is looking like a BIG ride. What are we thinking?

If you're unsure of your ability, please consider checking out the Monday SlowRiders Flatlanders or Tuesday SlowRiders XC (Cross Country) ride first. See what your pace is like at SlowRiders XC, then get your technical skills dialled with SlowRiders Trail on Thursdays, then ride all four nights like a champion!
After our ride, we'll meet up somewhere fun and casual for dinner and/or drinks to help with rehydration and planning for weekend adventures!
SlowRiders' rules apply - leave the race mentality at home, be prepared to laugh, encourage others to have fun, and be social! No one is left behind, and there is always someone acting as 'Tail End Charlie' to help with technical issues or a bit of encouragement. This isn't a guided trip, so pack your first aid kit, spare clothing, some tools, food, and drink - always useful to carry that stuff with you anyway 🙂
