In this workshop I will guide you through the process of decorating and assembling your own totally unique fabric collage vessel. We will start by working through the process of collaging a fabric case, by mindfully stitching vintage and repurposed fabrics onto a base. We will be using predominantly simple stitches, running stitch, chain stitch and blanket stitch. We will then assemble the collaged fabrics into a vessel and finish by embellishing our work of art with found natural objects, buttons or other pretty's.
We will be working with repurposed and upcycled materials.
All your materials will be provided in the cost of the course.
Tea and coffee is available. No lunch is provided, so please either bring along your lunch or there is a lovely café 3 minutes walk from the Centre. We have a fully equipped kitchen for you to reheat or prepare food.
The venue has full toilet facilities. It is also airconditioned for your comfort, but please bring warm clothes as our air conditioners get quite cold.
